Training Courses

National qualifications... your guarantee of the

highest level training

Civil Ceremonies Ltd have specialised in celebrancy training since we were founded in 2002 and have developed our courses to a very high level in the last 13 years. Creating and delivering ceremonies, whether a funeral or a naming or a couple ceremony, is a big responsibility and requires in depth training. Therefore the training we offer is not available in a shortened format or by distance learning alone, neither is it combined with any other qualifications or courses.

Civil Ceremonies is incredibly proud that the celebrants we have trained and qualified are creating positive change in the way ceremonies are conducted in the UK today. You will become immersed in a comprehensive learning experience that has been designed to prepare you for a successful new career in a growing profession.

Remember that the training you will receive is the very best possible, the qualifications are the highest available. You will be able to promote your services in the total confidence that you have been trained and fully assessed as competent to conduct ceremonies and provide a high quality service to your clients.

Civil Ceremonies Ltd is both a NOCN and a One Awards Recognised Learning Centre, providing training to a nationally recognised standard.

Our Funeral Celebrancy course won a Regional National Training Award in 2008 and in 2014 we achieved the Matrix Accreditation Award, having been thoroughly externally assessed for the advice and guidance that we give learners.

One Awards recognised the quality of our training when in 2014 they awarded us with several achievement awards including winners in the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Learning’ category. Our Training Philosophy

Our philosophy is very simple. We believe in providing three key elements in all our training courses:

1.    To provide delegates with all the factual information they need from their training. Delegates will receive an enormous amount of new and relevant information and develop many new skills.

2.    To issue high quality course materials which are easy to digest and can be used for reference after the course.

3.    To provide excellent value.

Training venues

Our courses are either delivered at our own, easily accessible, training facility at our offices in Kimbolton in Cambridgeshire, in house at your own venue or at the wonderful Claret Centre in Buckden, Cambridgeshire. (link to towers website)

We always send full joining Instructions in advance of a course. This will include any maps, details of anything you need to bring with you and full details of any residential accommodation.

Dietary and other special requirements

We try very hard to accommodate everyone fully on our courses. Please advise us of any dietary or other special needs or possible learning difficulties in advance and we will do everything we can to make arrangements for you.
