Public Consultation expected in the next few months on Law Commission Marriage Report!

Civil Ceremonies is a founder member of the Wedding Celebrancy Commission and the commission now works in partnership with many other organisations, in particular the Give Couples Choice Movement (GCCM).

Do read the GCCM_Policy Paper_2025 produced by GCCM and feel free to send it to anyone you know who may be able to help inform MPs and organisations about the forthcoming consultation.

Sign up to become a member of GCCM If you haven’t already done so here, https://gccmovement.org/join-us and they will send you updates. As a collective voice representing several celebrant organisation, the GCCM is working hard to make sure the voice of independent celebrants is heard in advance of the consultation planned this year, but they can’t do it without the help of the celebrant community.
