Our Civil Partnership Ceremony

Just as each couple is unique, each ceremony is unique. Our Civil Partnership ceremony offers many options, poems and readings, allowing you to create a very personal ceremony for you both to share and celebrate with family and friends or in private, if you prefer.

We have applied our first–hand knowledge and professional experience into the Civil Partnership Ceremony, leaving us very well placed to advise and help couples express their wishes, preferences and devotion to one another through their Civil Partnership ceremony.

Please do remember that the Government announced the official implementation date of The Civil Partnership Register as 5th December 2005, allowing same–sex couples to sign the register from 21st December 2005 onwards.

Do you want a Civil Partnership Ceremony?

The Civil Partnership Ceremony is not a standard provision of the Civil Partnership Act and couples can arrange a ceremony to compliment the signing of the register, either through Local Authorities who are working with us or through us directly.

What to do if you want to have a Civil Partnership Ceremony to accompany the official Civil Partnership procedure

• Think about where you want to hold the official Civil Partnership procedure. You will have to arrange this through a Register Office.
  
  

• Decide what sort of ceremony you want to have, will this be on the same day? On a different day? At the same place as the official Civil Partnership procedure or at a different location?
  
  

• In some areas, a Registrar at the Register Office may be able to conduct both the official Civil Partnership procedure and the ceremony for you.
  
  

• In other areas, the Registrar will direct you to ourselves at Civil Ceremonies, in order that we can arrange the Ceremony part of your celebrations with you directly. The ceremony can be at a venue of your choice or even at home.

What to do if you only want the official Civil Partnership procedure

• Think about the area in which you would like to undertake the official Civil Partnership procedure and contact the Register office of that particular locality directly to make arrangements.
